Public Consulting Group to Take Part in Three Panels at SXSWedu

BOSTON, Jan. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Public Consulting Group (PCG) is very pleased to be returning to SXSWedu, the iconic education conference in Austin, Texas, in March. We are excited to once again bring together thought leaders and experts from across the country to highlight innovation, best practices, and collaboration across a breadth of fields.

In particular, we look forward to the trio of sessions that will feature our colleagues and partners. The first, Engaging the Community, will highlight My Brother's Keeper, a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to build ladders of opportunity and unlock the full potential of our youth. The second session, Wired for Embedded Online Learning, welcomes a panel of public, private, and academic voices who will share insights on why online professional learning underwhelms--and the merits of "job-embedded" approaches.

Finally, Kidonomics: 2 + 2 = 6 is a cross-sectoral collaboration featuring thought leaders from the Health, Human Services, and Education sectors. Here we will examine the need for a holistic approach to address issues of early childhood development through workforce development to exponentially increase our results, thus achieving 2 + 2 = 6.

"We're honored to have such a diverse group of speakers and panelists representing our health, social services, and education clients at SXSWedu," said PCG Vice President and SXSWedu Advisory Board member Tony Brown. "This is an excellent opportunity to engage with the SouthBy community to collaborate, innovate, and share holistic and integrated best practices with the nation's thought-leaders.  This year, we look forward to taking on the specific challenges surrounding early childhood investments to prevent dropouts and optimize employability. It's a huge undertaking, and we believe SXSWedu is the perfect setting to raise and broaden this conversation."
